What's a Fresh 48?

You've done your maternity session and now you're patiently (or not so patiently, if you're anything like me) counting down the days for your sweet little bundle of joy to arrive. Before you know it, the day is here! Baby has made his or her way into the world. Good job, Mom! Pretty amazing FINALLY being able to see that sweet little face for the first time, isn't it? Speaking from experience, this is one of the most magical, emotional, rewarding, scariest experiences you will ever encounter. And it literally goes by in the blink of an eye. Before you know it, you will be home with the newest member of your little family wishing you could remember what sleep was. Don't worry guys, I'm getting to my point, I promise.

A Fresh 48 is a session I do in the hospital within the first 48 hours of life (Get it, Fresh 48? Clever!) My one and only job while I am there is to capture these first precious moments you share as a family. Well, that and swoon over that sweet little baby of yours! Mom and Dad are on Cloud 9 looking at their bundle of perfection, soaking it in and wondering how they could ever make anything so perfect. Guys, that's what it feels like to have your heart outside of your body. I will never forget what it felt like to see my babies and hold them for the first time. Fresh 48 photos capture these moments and these feelings and allow you to hold onto them, and your babies, for a lifetime. So, when you're reminiscing three, four, ten years down the road wondering where in the world your tiny baby went, you'll find your comfort in your photos. Hold onto your babies, Mommies and Daddies; they're only babies for such a short while.
